THE PARTNERSHIP LIVES ON...

The writing team of Bill Martin Jr and Michael Sampson came together in 1978, when the duo met at a conference in Arizona. Over the next 25 years, the two wrote 25 books for children, including CHICKA, CHICKA, 1, 2, 3 and PANDA BEAR, PANDA BEAR, WHAT DO YOU SEE ?

They also trained more than 50,000 teachers in their PATHWAYS TO LITERACY workshops over 22 summers. That tradition continues today..

And the good news is that even with the death of Bill in 2004, more Martin/Sampson books will continue to be released in the coming years - books Bill and Michael completed but had not submitted to publishers.

In 2006, I LOVE THIS EARTH was published. Last year, BABY BEAR, BABY BEAR, WHAT DO YOU SEE came out, and instantly became a New York Times best-seller! This fall (2008), KITTY CAT, KITTY CAT, ARE YOU WAKING UP will be published. In early 2009, THE BILL MARTIN JR BOOK OF POETRY will be released. Bill and Michael worked 10 years selecting their favorite poems for the collection, as well as writing their own. They also recorded themselves performing the poetry, which will be included with the book.
